Chhatrasal ka Makwara

Maharaja Chhatrasal (4 May 1649 – 20 December 1731), was a medieval Indian warrior who fought against the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, and established his own kingdom in Bundelkhand, becoming a Maharaja








built in 18th centuary a.d. the tomb of bundelkhand kesari maharaj chhatrashal is an  octagonal structure . its gate is arched and decorated . it was built of stone ,bricks and lime. On entry  through the entrance gate one finds a  spherical pillared verandah to the right and left and interior walls depict rathikas. Its upper portion is decorated with wall paintings. The Samadhi of maharaja chhatrasaal is situated in the middle with  a pradakshina path(ambulatory) around it. The shikhara is dome shaped with shades (chhajja) built all around
